Mercury proud to support Whirlow’s ’480′ club

480 Club pic 1For the past 25 years, Mercury Taxis have been committed to sponsoring good causes in the local community. With five children themselves and owning one of the only family-run taxi companies in the UK, Lorraine & Andrew Eales have been supporting the ’480 Club’ at Whirlow Hall Farm which enables children from some of Sheffield’s most disadvantaged areas to visit the farm.

Mercury’s business development manager Peter Holmes says, “All of the management, staff and drivers here at Mercury Taxis are very proud to be the sponsors of Wybourn Community Primary School in Sheffield once again as part of our ’480 Club’ sponsorship.

A group of 12 children from Wybourn Community Primary School recently stayed on the farm for two nights to meet the animals and take part in activities they would not have been otherwise able to do. Whirlow Hall farm receives no government or statutory 480 club pic 2funding and relies entirely on their own fundraising events and donations from organisations like ours. Mercury Taxis would encourage any local business or individual to take out a 480 club membership to allow even more children to enjoy this magical experience.”
